Dustin Michaelis Benefit Dinner

In late December 2011, Dustin Michaelis, 31, of Glencoe, MN, was diagnosed with Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma, a very rare type of soft tissue sarcoma cancer which grows slowly and whose cell origin is unknown. Dustin received radiation and chemo treatment at the University of Minnesota through July 2012; at that time, he learned his cancer was still progressing. In August, Dustin was accepted into a clinical research study at the National Institute of Health in Maryland. This requires him to travel to Maryland every 28 days to have tests done and to receive his next 28 days worth of treatment medication. Dustin has a wife, Jodi, and two children, Tarin (12), Cody (3).
